how to participate

Dress up, make some funky musical instruments or maybe a wacky and wonderful performance piece that links in with this year's theme ‘Bee the Change ‘. Celebrate with everything from Blue Banded bees to honey flow, wild flowers to fabulous bee hives or “B” words - and lots and lots of fairy lights!!

2020 theme

This year the theme is “Bee the change….”  everything ‘beeish’ and their place in our environment, with the sub text ‘bees are the new canary in the mine.’

In recent times the bee been subjected to extreme threat from toxic chemicals, drought and more recently bushfire. Bees are essential within the ecosystems of our bushland and agriculture, and therefore life on this planet.

So, the festival this year celebrates the BEE – from bee lanterns made by school children, to workshops on how to support our bees under threat from drought and bushfire with workshops on bee friendly flowers and trees we can grow in our gardens and farms.
