Celebrating 31 Years of Light and Community!

2025 marks 31 years of the Lismore Lantern Parade, bringing light, creativity, and community spirit to the heart of Lismore! Last year, we were honored to partner with the 41st Battalion for their historic Freedom of the City parade and ceremony—what an unforgettable celebration!

Join the 2025 Lismore Lantern Parade!

We invite local schools to take part in this magical event by joining our lantern workshops. Students will have the opportunity to create or decorate lanterns and proudly walk in the parade.

Lantern Workshop Options

MAKE a Diamond Lantern from Scratch
- Dates: March 26 – June 3, 2025
- Schedule: Wednesdays, Thursdays, or Fridays (9:00 AM – 12:30 PM)
- Details: We come to your school and facilitate the workshop
- Group size: 15 – 30 students per session
- A teacher must be present at all times
DECORATE a Pre-Made Pyramid Lantern
- Dates: March 10 – June 6, 2025
- Details: We deliver pre-made pyramid lanterns with pre-cut decorations
- Storage required until June 21 parade

Cost: $14 per lantern (includes LED candle & carry stick)
Prices have remained unchanged for over 10 years!

2025 Parade Details

Date: Saturday, June 21, 2025
Theme: The Year of the Snake – New Beginnings & Standing Together
Assembly Location: Magellan Street, outside Lismore Library
Fiery Finale: Riverside Park
Accessibility: A dedicated area for wheelchair users and walkers
Wristbands: Each lantern purchase includes two wristbands for parade entry and priority Fiery Finale seating
